How can an independent writer help my business?
The trouble with writing about your own business or industry is that you constantly have to 'step out' of your role and re-evaluate your writing from the point of view of your customer. You end up wasting valuable time struggling to get your thoughts on to paper, time that could be better spent elsewhere in your business. Many businesses use my service because they want the perspective of a potential customer. I need your help - how can we get started? Before I write, I need to gather lots of information about your writing requirements. This is usually done by face to face consultation, but email and phone consultations are also options - especially if your assignment is urgent. You may have a very definite idea of what you want, or just a basic concept. Either way, you can be sure that the finished product will be right on target. What is your experience? I have been lucky enough to work with businesses and magazines of all shapes and sizes to create publications that educate, entertain and increase sales. My career in copywriting stems from a background in sales and marketing, a Diploma in Journalism and a fascination with the written word. Click here to view my writing samples or testimonials. What are your fees? My fees are dependent on the assignment type. After I've met or spoken with you about your assignment, I'll then estimate how long it will take and what research (if any) is involved. At this stage, I'll give you a written quote. Once the assignment is complete and all writing has been finalized, I'll send out an invoice (with terms of 7 days). If you would like an estimate on a writing assignment, please contact me. I've got an urgent assignment... can you help? I'll only take on an urgent assignment if I'm absolutely sure that I can have it completed within your specified deadline. I usually work within a 2-3 week turn around time, but if you have a rush job that I agree to accept - then you have my guarantee that your deadline will be met. I have a 'sensitive' writing assignment - will it remain confidential? When I work with your business, I treat all information with the strictest of confidence. Any reference material and discussions will remain confidential and will be returned upon completion. Can you arrange the layout and/or printing of an assignment? As a copywriter, my specialty is writing, but I'm also experienced with layout and formatting of newsletters and brochures. Because I regularly use graphic designers and printers, I can also secure a competitive price for these services if needed. Any further questions?
